Multiwire machine for granite
Multiwire machine for granite
MULTIWIRE JUPITER GS240 represents a significant technological innovation in the natural stone cutting industry.
Thanks to its exceptional versatility, MULTIWIRE JUPITER GS240 delivers precise cutting on quartzites, marbles, and granites, ensuring excellent results across all types of stone. The use of a 4.3 mm wire allows for optimized block yield, reaching up to 39.2 m²/m³ with 2 cm thick slabs.
One of the standout features of the MULTIWIRE JUPITER GS240 is its large flywheel, with a diameter of 2.3 meters. The wide wire contact arc assures smooth and accurate traction, which is essential during block cutting.
MULTIWIRE JUPITER GS240 is the result of Pedrini’s technological know-how, developed through extensive research, testing, and innovation. The adoption of the most advanced technical solutions has led to significant benefits, including reduced energy consumption and minimized processing waste.
With the new GS240 equipped with a 4.3 mm wire, the cutting process has been optimized even for materials with areas of variable hardness, which can cause wire deviation—such as gneiss and metamorphic schists.
The structure of the machine has been further improved by increasing its rigidity and optimizing the geometry to ensure superior performance.

Multiwire Jupiter is manufactured in different versions essentially characterized by a combination of various parameters.
Slab thickness
2 - 3
The slab thickness is chosen according to the required final product
Wire diameter
5,3 - 4,3
The diamond bead diameter is chosen according to the mix of materials to be processed
Number of wires
56 - 64 - 72 - 80
The number of wires is chosen according to the required production capacity
Pitch
8,8 - 8,5 -9
The pitch of the wire guide grooves is chosen according to the diameter of the diamond bead, to maximize the block yield
Nominal block yield
4,3 mm wire diameter – 39,2 m²/m³
The nominal yield refers to blocks cutting 2 cm-thick slabs
Machine components
The flywheel is driven by the multiwire machine's main motor to transmit rotational motion to the diamond wires. Pedrini patented a flywheel covering system using modular bands.
The wire-guide rollers are rubberized wheels, positioned at the entry and exit of the machine, to guide the diamond wires and keep them at the pre-set distance.
The columns and upper crossbeam incorporate the elements for the vertical movement of the wires and for machine securing it to the foundation.
The block carrier trolley is an integral part of the machine and is supplied in different sizes depending on the useful cutting width of the multiwire.
