SUPERNOVA-G is a machine, available in different models, designed and manufactured by Pedrini to calibrate, hone and polish granite strips used for the industrial production of pavement tiles and modular tiles ("modulgranito," international standard tiles).
The calibrating machines calibrate the strips by means of diamond tools to obtain the desired thickness.
The honing and polishing machines produce the desired surface finishing thanks to a series of polishing heads equipped with abrasives with increasingly finer grain as the processed material proceeds from the machine entrance to the exit.
The SUPERNOVA-G machines are the result of Pedrini’s technological know-how which, with many years of experience in the field and more than 1,000 models produced, is a reliable partner, able to offer highly innovative solutions to meet the new plants standards of the companies working in the natural stone business.
The maximum processing thickness is 50 mm. Upon request, the machine can be manufactured to process up to100 mm thickness.
The choice of the number and type of elements is made according to several parameters including the type of material, the conveyor forwarding speed and the specific processing requirements.

Rotor spindles with Antishock heads
For polishing, Rotor spindles are equipped with exclusive patented Antishock heads with 7 abrasives that sequentially drive the abrasive holders with high-frequency pendular motion.
Rotor spindles with Aquila heads
For honing, the patented Rotor spindles are equipped with Aquila heads which include the Smart Contact adjustable centesimal adjustment that prevents the spindle from lowering below a pre-set height.
The calibrating groups are positioned at the machine entrance in varying numbers depending on the quantity of material to be removed and to the forwarding speed. The calibrator operates with the exclusive helical-shaped diamond tilting roller that ensures high removal capacity.
