Pedrini technology for FC Marmi

FC Marmi e Graniti, a long-standing partner company of Pedrini, has in recent years embarked on a path of technological innovation and plant expansion to meet the demands of its major clients in Canada and the United States, who are increasing their demand for high-quality materials sourced from Italy.

Indeed, following the complete renewal of the granite and lava stone processing lines completed last year, it was time to upgrade the marble line. Specifically, the Sicilian company decided to replace its marble resin treatment line with a more technologically advanced one, once again supplied by Pedrini.

“This is a compact line, custom-designed for us to fit the available space and meet our production needs,” explains Franco Caruso, owner of FC Marmi. “We needed a line that could guarantee speed and reliability of processing in a relatively small space and with a high level of technology to integrate with our Industry 4.0 system. And our choice could only be Pedrini, our trusted partner for years.”

The plant features a 4-station Butterfly loader for effective handling of book-matched slabs, a combined 10+40 tower for drying and catalysis, and an innovative application area equipped with a new automatic resin dispensing system. The application system was designed to allow the operator to work easily on all sides of the slab without the need for a ladder.

For cutting its most precious marble blocks, the company relies on the new Jupiter GS230 multiwire machine for marble with 72 wires.
High cutting speed, the ability to saw extremely fragile blocks, and outstanding surface quality are the key features of the Pedrini multiwire, making it one of the most appreciated cutting machines.

Completing the marble line is a Pedrini polishing machine, a Galaxy B220MA with 18 heads purchased in 2016, which still operates at full capacity, delivering excellent performance.
